Penn State women's hockey loses two games to No. 2 Ohio State
The Penn State women's hockey team opened its 2026-27 season with a two-game series against No. 2 Ohio State. In the first matchup, Penn State narrowly lost 2-1 at Pegula Ice Arena. Junior co-captain Grace Outwater scored the Nittany Lions' lone goal, but Ohio State secured the win with a second-period goal from Rylee Bartz.
In the second game of the series, Penn State fell again to the Buckeyes with a score of 2-1. Despite several key saves from goaltender Maddy Campbell, the Nittany Lions were unable to overcome Ohio State's offensive pressure.
