Ohio twins celebrate 100th birthdays and share longevity secrets

Identical twin sisters Mary Alice Haley and Mary Jean Holtzhauer from Tipp City, Ohio, recently celebrated their 100th birthdays. Born in 1926, the sisters have maintained a lifelong tradition of wearing similar clothing, a habit started by their mother.

The twins credit their deep emotional connection and mutual support as key factors in their longevity. They have shared life's major milestones together, including marriages, widowhood, and the raising of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

While they previously lived independently and drove into their 90s, they now reside in separate but nearby apartments within a supported living facility. Despite recent health challenges, such as Haley using a wheelchair following a hip fracture, the sisters maintain a close daily routine, including eating breakfast together and participating in social activities like bingo and crafts.
