Wright State University and Ohio State University Mansfield are reporting significant enrollment growth.
Wright State University has reached a total of 12,157 students this fall, representing a 12% increase since 2022 and a 2% increase from the previous year. The university saw 2,000 first-time students, a 43.5% increase since 2021. Nearly half of the first-time cohort are Pell Grant recipients. Popular academic programs include nursing, mechanical engineering, psychology, elementary education, and biological sciences.
Ohio State University Mansfield has achieved its fourth consecutive year of enrollment growth. This autumn, the campus welcomed 470 new freshmen, a 16% increase in first-year students compared to last year and a 40% increase over the past two years. Growth is attributed in part to the Regional Campus Commitment, which provides free tuition to eligible students from households with an adjusted gross income under $100,000, alongside Buckeye Opportunity Grants.
