Ohio woman killed as tree falls on SUV on U.S. Route 30
A 35-year-old woman, Bridget E. Reagan, was killed on Saturday when a large tree fell onto her SUV on U.S. Route 30 in Paris Township, Ohio. Reagan, a resident of Minerva and owner of the boutique Chic Haven, was driving a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer westbound at the time of the incident.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Reagan was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are currently looking into whether the tree fell due to decay or if saturated ground contributed to the accident. Authorities have preliminarily described the event as an “act of God.”
The Minerva community has responded with significant mourning. The Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce issued condolences, describing Reagan as a valued member of the local business community. Local businesses have also begun organizing support, including a fundraising campaign for her three children and a local candle company donating profits to her family.
