The St. Paul Airport in Ohrid has undergone a 2.7 million euro modernization, marking the first major renovation of its terminal facilities in 56 years. The project includes a reconstructed passenger terminal, expanded check-in areas, increased security control zones, reorganized parking, and updated technology to improve passenger efficiency.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski stated that the upgrades aim to provide a significantly better experience for travelers. He noted that the airport has already seen record numbers, with over 240,000 passengers recorded between January and June. Combined, North Macedonia's two airports are projected to approach 4 million passengers this year.

In addition to the airport upgrades, work continues on the Ohrid-Kichevo highway. Nikoloski indicated that the most difficult section is nearing completion and expects the entire highway to be operational by the first half of next year. The new terminal also features cultural elements, including mosaics inspired by historical finds in Ohrid.
