Saint Clement of Ohrid and Saint Pantaleon celebrated by believers

Orthodox believers, including the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, are celebrating the feast days of Saint Clement of Ohrid and Saint Pantaleon.

Saint Clement of Ohrid, a prominent Slavic enlightener and disciple of Saints Cyril and Methodius, is commemorated on the anniversary of his passing in 916. He is recognized as a symbol of Macedonian literacy and spiritual heritage. Recent academic focus includes a new scientific work titled "Saint Clement of Ohrid in Contemporary Macedonian Creative Inspiration," which explores his enduring influence on modern literature, theater, and film.

Saint Pantaleon is also honored as a renowned healer and martyr. Born in Nicomedia, he practiced medicine before embracing Christianity. He is celebrated for his reputation as a healer who provided free medical care, particularly to the poor and persecuted, before being martyred during the reign of Emperor Maximilian.
