Ohrid Summer Festival hosts jazz series and classical concerts

The Ohrid Summer Festival is hosting several high-profile musical events, including the inaugural ‘Jazz Evenings’ program from August 13 to 16. Organized by Radio Jazz FM and the National Institution ‘Ohrid Summer’, the jazz series features six concerts at the St. Sophia Church and the Dolni Saraj stage. Performers include musicians from the USA, Germany, Greece, Ghana, the Netherlands, the UK, and North Macedonia, such as Krste Rozhevski and the Dine Dontef trio.

Other notable performances include the European Union Evening, which featured Irish violinist David Tobin, pianist Fingin Collins, and flautist Johanna Kezei. Additionally, Chinese pianist Siheng Song, a winner of the Long-Thibaud competition, performed a solo recital at St. Sophia Church, featuring works by Debussy, Mozart, and Chopin.
