Oil prices trend upward as Brent exceeds $105

Global oil prices have shown weekly gains despite a slight Friday morning dip. Brent crude for December delivery was trading at approximately $105.52, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at $97.28. The weekly upward trend has been supported by a larger-than-expected decline in U.S. crude stocks, driven in part by production halts caused by hurricanes.

In Morocco, a slight correction in fuel prices is anticipated due to a decrease in international diesel rates. The average Platts Gasoil price dropped from roughly $1,540 per tonne in the first half of October to nearly $1,430 per tonne in the second half. However, experts note that the extent of the relief at the pump may be limited by the strengthening of the U.S. dollar, which could offset some of the international price declines.
