OIPA to join criminal case after dog found neglected in Bologna

The International Animal Protection Organization (OIPA) has announced its intention to join criminal proceedings as a civil party following the neglect of a dog named Ares in Bologna. The dog, a husky mix, was found in a state of suffering in an apartment in the San Donato area after being left without food or water for three days.

Local police discovered the animal after residents reported persistent barking and howling. Ares has been seized and transferred to the Castel Maggiore kennel for medical care and further assessment. Authorities are investigating a 26-year-old man for potential animal cruelty charges.
