Oisix Niigata Albirex announces community events in Akiba Ward and Furumachi

Oisix Niigata Albirex Base Ball Club has announced two upcoming community engagement events aimed at regional revitalization in Niigata.

On September 4, the club will host ‘Akiba Ward Day’ at HARD OFF ECO Stadium Niigata during their NPB Farm League game against the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. The event will feature a ceremonial first pitch by Akiba Ward Mayor Shinobu Nagasaki, traditional festival music performances by the Teishajo-dori Wayukai group, and dance performances. Local vendors, including gelateria hitosaji and Takashih Foods, will also participate to showcase Akiba Ward's culinary offerings.

Additionally, the club will hold ‘Oisix Presents Supporter Appreciation Day 2026’ on November 15 at the Furumachi Shopping District. Following the success of last year's event, which drew approximately 500 participants, the club plans to feature players acting as ‘one-day store managers’ and other exclusive activities to strengthen ties with the local community and the historic shopping district.
