OiSIX Niigata Baseball Club Offers Free Student Days for August Games
OiSIX Niigata Baseball Club will hold free‑admission days for all students at four home games on August 9, 11, 12 and 13 at HARD OFF ECO Stadium Niigata. The matches are against the Saitama Seibu Lions on August 9 (13:00) and the Hayate Ventures Shizuoka on August 11 (18:00), August 12 (18:00) and August 13 (13:00). Eligible participants include elementary, junior‑high, high‑school, technical, university, junior‑college, graduate and specialized‑school students; proof of enrollment must be presented at ticket sales. Non‑students accompanying students must purchase tickets separately.
The initiative is part of OiSIX’s “Summer Experience” project, which aims to reduce experience gaps among children during the summer break and promote regional revitalisation through baseball. The August 9 game will feature a post‑game Dream Festa offering baseball‑experience activities, and on August 11 the ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Yamada Ryusei, the 2026 Milan‑Cortina Winter Olympic bronze‑medalist in men’s half‑pipe snowboarding. OiSIX, a food‑delivery company, is the main sponsor of the club, which aspires to become Japan’s most nurturing and “delicious” baseball team, with former pitcher Masumi Kuwata slated to become CBO in 2026.
