A business delegation from the Oita Prefecture Industrial Federation visited Taichung City, Taiwan, on September 3-4, 2026, to participate in a matching event marking 10 years of industrial exchange between the two regions.

Over 100 representatives from industry, government, and academia attended the event at the Taichung International Convention Center. The discussions focused on technical cooperation, market development, and strengthening supply chain links. Chairman Yasumasa Kotegawa noted that the relationship is evolving from simple trade toward mutual supply chain complementarity, particularly in response to global economic shifts and the semiconductor industry.

The delegation included companies from sectors such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, automation, precision processing, and food preservation. The visit also included inspections of the Taichung Software Park and the Dali Industrial Park to observe advancements in smart manufacturing and digital technology.
