Ojarumaru anime launches first character popularity poll

NHK Enterprises has launched the first-ever character popularity poll for the anime series ‘Ojarumaru’ as part of its 30th anniversary project. The voting period runs from September 5 to September 30, 2026.

Fans can vote for one character from a selection of 123 carefully chosen candidates. The top five characters selected through this process will be developed into official merchandise. The results are scheduled to be announced on October 5, 2026, marking ‘Ojarumaru Day.’

Kiyoshi Hikawa, who performs the ending theme for the 29th series, cast the first official vote. Members of the main voice cast have also shared messages encouraging fans to support their respective characters.
