OJK appoints Henry Rialdi to lead Strategic Mineral and Commodity Exchange oversight
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has appointed Henry Rialdi as the Deputy Commissioner for Regulation and Supervision of the Strategic Mineral and Commodity Exchange (BMKS). The appointment was formalized by OJK Chairperson Friderica Widyasari Dewi in Jakarta on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
This move is part of OJK’s efforts to implement the mandate of the Law on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (UU P2SK). The establishment of the BMKS aims to address systemic issues such as transfer pricing and under-invoicing, which have historically caused economic losses for Indonesia.
As a major producer of various strategic minerals, Indonesia currently relies on foreign markets for price discovery. The BMKS is intended to facilitate domestic price formation, increase transparency, and ensure the country captures greater economic value from its natural resources through improved trade governance.
