OJK fines DSSA, BREN, and CUAN Rp 2.1 trillion for market violations

The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) has imposed administrative fines totaling Rp 2.1 trillion on three major companies for stock market violations. PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) received the largest fine of Rp 1.5 trillion following investigations into planned and structured market manipulation between 2024 and 2026.

PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) and PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN) were fined Rp 500 billion and Rp 100 billion, respectively. The OJK identified misleading share orders in both companies that obscured the identities of related parties, leading to highly concentrated share ownership.

In response to these findings, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has deployed the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) to investigate potential criminal violations in the capital market. OJK officials noted that out of 61 companies identified with high shareholder concentration, 31 are suspected of criminal violations. Management at BREN and CUAN have expressed their commitment to cooperating with regulators and maintaining normal business operations.
