OJK reports 18.06% growth in Indonesia's guarantee service fees
The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) reported significant growth in the guarantee service fee (IJP) industry. As of June 2026, the IJP value increased by 18.06% year-on-year, reaching Rp 4.13 trillion.
Ogi Prastomiyono, OJK Executive Head of Insurance, Guarantee, and Pension Fund Supervision, attributed this growth to increased guarantee volumes and shifts in company guarantee portions. Key drivers included a 22.28% year-on-year increase at PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) and a 15.93% increase in Sharia guarantee companies.
To maintain healthy and sustainable growth, the OJK advised the industry to strengthen new guarantees in both productive and non-productive sectors, improve risk-based pricing, enhance underwriting quality, and optimize business processes through technology.
