OJK to refine post-employment compensation regulations for DPLK
The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) is drafting amendments to Regulation Number 27 of 2023 regarding Pension Fund Business Operations. The primary objective is to provide more detailed and specific provisions for the administration of Post-Employment Compensation Funds (DKPK) by Financial Institution Pension Funds (DPLK).
Ogi Prastomiyono, OJK Executive Head of Insurance, Guarantee, and Pension Funds, stated that while DKPK is currently regulated, existing rules are too general. The proposed changes aim to strengthen regulations, ensure legal certainty for both employers and DPLK providers, and promote transparency and professionalism in fund management.
As of August 31, 2026, 20 DPLKs have already implemented DKPK programs. Tondy Suradiredja, Chairman of the DPLK Association, welcomed the move, noting that the industry has a long history of managing severance funding. He emphasized that clearer guidelines will provide better direction for employers in meeting their post-employment obligations.
