Ojos Rojos International Photography Festival begins in Dénia
The eighth edition of the Ojos Rojos International Photography Festival has launched in Dénia, Spain. Organized by the Arteria Urbana association, this year’s festival features Argentina as the guest country.
The opening ceremonies included a lecture by Argentine photographer Irina Werning at the Juan Chabás library, where she discussed her “Back to the Future” series. The festival has expanded its exhibition spaces to include the María Hervás plaza, which now hosts large-format canvases of Werning’s work.
Other featured exhibitions include Marcos López’s “Pop Latino” series in the Plaza del Consell and Matías Costa’s “Cuaderno de campo” retrospective at the Centre d’Art l’Estació. The festival programming will continue through November 29, spanning Dénia and Xàbi.
