OJS PV militant detained in Safor for anti-fascist graffiti

A member of the Organització Juvenil Socialista del País Valencià (OJS PV) has been detained by the Guardia Civil in Simat de la Valldigna, located in the Safor region. The individual is accused of participating in an action involving anti-fascist graffiti on the facade of a church.

The incident occurred while a mass was being held to commemorate the deaths of Francisco Franco and José Antonio Primo de Rivera. The OJS PV has condemned the arrest, characterizing it as an attempt at intimidation and systematic repression against organized communist militancy. The organization noted that the detention takes place amidst preparations for a general strike on November 11 and while the Safor region is still recovering from the effects of the DANA weather event.
