Okanagan Butterfly Support Network honors families facing pregnancy loss
The Butterfly Support Network in the Okanagan is providing community and healing for families experiencing pregnancy, childbirth, or infant loss. The organization facilitates local events such as the Okanagan Butterfly Run, which has been held annually for four years to combat the isolation often felt by grieving parents.
In addition to local efforts, the community participates in the International Wave of Light, an annual global observance held on October 15 to honor babies who have died during pregnancy or infancy. Local committee member Rachelle Cordes highlighted the importance of the network, noting that the community provides essential support for those facing infertility and various stages of pregnancy loss.
