Okanagan residents offered free financial literacy course
Launch Okanagan is relaunching its Dollars & Sense program, a free eight-week online financial literacy course for Okanagan residents. Starting September 16, the program will hold sessions every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The curriculum covers essential topics including budgeting, debt management, credit, saving, and creating realistic spending plans.
Separately, StellerVista Credit Union has announced $25,000 in StellerStudent awards for students in the West Kootenay and Boundary regions. This expansion of their program aims to support those pursuing higher education, trades, and specialized training. Students in Castlegar, Slocan Valley, and West Boundary are set to receive nearly $10,000 of these funds.
