Okayama University announces dance award and digital platform milestone
Okayama University has announced two significant developments. The university's dance club team, ‘Dance Sentai Goranger DX’, received the Kitanippon Shimbunsha Award at the 29th Artistic Movement in Toyama (ART.M) 2026. Their performance, titled ‘Eating the Dregs’, was inspired by Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s short story ‘The Spider’s Thread’ and explored themes of human desire and struggle.
Additionally, the Okayama Digital Innovation Creation Platform (OI-Start), operated by Okayama University in collaboration with Okayama Prefecture, has surpassed 200 participating organizations. Launched in May 2024, the industry-academia-government platform aims to drive regional digital transformation (DX) and innovation through technological collaboration and human resource development.
