Oke-Ogun stakeholders present development blueprint to Oyo State

Stakeholders in the Oke-Ogun region of Oyo State are engaging with the state government regarding regional development and infrastructure. The Oke-Ogun Council of Elders (OCE) has presented a 10-year development blueprint, titled ‘Oke-Ogun Development Blueprint (2025-2035)’, to the state government. The document serves as a strategic roadmap focusing on agriculture, education, electricity, healthcare, road networks, and security to unlock the region's economic potential.

Simultaneously, the Oke-Ogun Liberation Movement has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for recent infrastructural advancements in the area. The group highlighted the completion of several road projects, including the Moniya-Iseyin, Iseyin-Ogbomosho, and Iseyin-Okeho roads, as well as the rehabilitation of the Oyo State Agricultural Development Programme (OSADEP).

While acknowledging progress, community leaders have called for the accelerated completion of remaining projects, such as the Saki-Ogboro road, and requested additional amenities including primary health centers in rural villages to support the region's agrarian population.
