Okinawa Arena hosts basketball clinics for local children

Okinawa Arena Co., Ltd. held two children's sports clinics in August 2026 to encourage local youth to engage in physical activity through basketball. The sessions took place on August 12 and August 19 at the Okinawa Suntory Arena Sub-Arena.

A total of 141 elementary school students from various after-school clubs participated across the two days. The program included basketball drills and game-style activities designed to foster teamwork and enjoyment among children of different grade levels.

Organizers noted that the clinics have had a lasting impact, with some participating after-school clubs installing handmade basketball goals to continue playing regularly. The initiative aims to provide opportunities for all children, including those who may not typically participate in sports.
