Oklahoma linebacker Kip Lewis sidelined with knee injury

Oklahoma Sooners linebacker Kip Lewis suffered a non-contact injury to his right knee during the team's Week 2 game against Michigan. The injury occurred in the first quarter while Lewis was pursuing a Michigan ball carrier. Although Lewis briefly returned to the field wearing a brace, he was unable to continue and left the game for good.

Following the 17-0 loss to Michigan, Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables confirmed that Lewis would miss time, though the exact severity of the injury was not immediately disclosed.
