Tulsa upsets Oklahoma State 24-10 in Eric Morris's debut

Tulsa defeated Oklahoma State 24-10 in their season opener, spoiling the debut of new Oklahoma State head coach Eric Morris. The victory marks the first time the Golden Hurricane has secured consecutive wins against the Cowboys since the 1951-52 season.

Tulsa's offense was led by Damari Alston, who scored two touchdowns, including a 29-yard run in the fourth quarter, and Baylor Hayes, who completed 17 of 24 passes for 227 yards and one touchdown. The Golden Hurricane defense secured the win by forcing four turnovers, including two interceptions of Oklahoma State quarterback Drew Mestemaker.

Oklahoma State struggled with mistakes, completing 29 of 49 passes for 241 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. The loss extends the Cowboys' losing streak to 12 games. Oklahoma State is scheduled to host No. 2 Oregon next week, while Tulsa will play at Sam Houston.
