Oklahoma State football to wear throwback helmets against Murray State

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are scheduled to face the Murray State Racers on Saturday, September 19, at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The game is set to kick off at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET.

For this matchup, Oklahoma State will wear throwback helmets honoring the 1976 Tangerine Bowl team. The helmets feature orange coloring with a white center stripe and a white “OSU” logo, a design used by the program from the mid-1970s until 2001. The 1976 squad, led by Terry Miller, finished the season 9-3 and shared the Big 8 Conference championship.

Viewers will not be able to watch the game on traditional broadcast television. The live broadcast is exclusive to ESPN’s streaming platforms, specifically requiring an “ESPN Select” or “ESPN Unlimited” subscription via the ESPN App.
