Oklahoma State wrestlers medal at U20 World Championships

Oklahoma State University wrestlers Dreshaun Ross and Landon Robideau secured medals at the United World Wrestling U-20 World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Dreshaun Ross, an incoming freshman, earned a silver medal in the 125 kg category. Ross demonstrated dominance in the early rounds, winning three consecutive matches without surrendering a single point. His path to the final included victories over competitors from South Korea, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. In the championship match, Ross fell 5-3 to Iran’s Abolfazl Mohammad Nezhad.

Landon Robideau, an NCAA champion, claimed a bronze medal. Robideau finished the tournament with a 4-1 record, including a quarterfinal victory over a Russian opponent. After a narrow semifinal loss to Iran’s Sina Khalili, Robideau secured the bronze with a 3-1 decision against Kyrgyzstan’s Zalkarbek Tabaldiev.
