Oklo Inc. faces stock volatility amid microreactor development

Oklo Inc., a developer of Aurora microreactors, has experienced significant stock volatility since its May 2024 public debut via a SPAC merger. While the stock reached a record high of $174.14 in October 2025, it has recently traded around $43. The company's Aurora microreactors are designed for modular deployment in remote areas, utilizing metallic uranium fuel pellets that can last a decade without refueling. Despite the potential to serve the growing energy needs of the AI and cloud sectors, Oklo has not yet deployed a commercial reactor or generated significant revenue.

In recent trading activity, Oklo's General Counsel, Vivek Narayanadas, sold 238 shares on September 8 at an average price of $42.06 to cover tax withholding obligations related to equity awards. This transaction was part of a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan. The company currently holds a market capitalization of approximately $7.92 billion.
