Oklo nuclear firm posts first revenue after Texas reactor hits criticality

Oklo Inc. reported its first-ever quarterly revenue of $1.2 million for the second quarter, far surpassing analysts' estimate of about $70,000. The company posted a loss of $0.28 per share, its fifth consecutive quarterly earnings miss, but its shares rose roughly 3.7% in pre‑market trading.

The revenue milestone follows the Groves Isotope Test Reactor in Texas achieving criticality, marking the first privately owned reactor built under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Reactor Pilot Program to reach a self‑sustaining nuclear chain reaction. Oklo said it remains on track to deploy its first Aurora powerhouse in 2028 and is advancing regulatory approvals, fuel manufacturing and recycling activities, with plans for fuel‑fabrication facilities in Idaho and Tennessee. The firm ended the quarter with $3 billion in cash and marketable securities and projects 2026 capital spending of $400‑$500 million on property, plant and equipment.
