Okoya family disputes Fatai Okoya's claims regarding Razaq Okoya

The family of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya has issued a statement disputing claims made by Fatai Okoya regarding his relationship with his father. Fatai, who recently made a public appeal for reconciliation after a 40-year estrangement, had claimed to be the industrialist’s first-born child and alleged that Shade Okoya, the industrialist's wife, had prevented him from seeing his father during his 86th birthday.

The family, through a statement signed by Eleganza Industries Ltd senior public relations manager Nathaniel Omeninwan, clarified that Fatai is actually the third child of Razaq Okoya. They denied allegations of being blocked from contact, stating that Fatai’s estrangement began long before Okoya married Shade Okoya.

Furthermore, the family asserted that Fatai has received substantial financial support from the industrialist, including four flats in Ogunlana Surulere, Lagos, and assistance with medical expenses. The family expressed regret that private matters were brought into the public domain to attract sympathy and discredit other family members.
