Slovak politicians Boris Kollár and Richard Sulík form new alliance

Boris Kollár, leader of the Sme rodina movement, has announced a political alliance with Richard Sulík and Jana Bittó Cigániková. The two groups will run on a joint candidate list for the National Council of the Slovak Republic under the new name ‘Sme rodina a Sulíkovci’.

As part of this agreement, Kollár has accepted a program that includes the recognition of registered partnerships. This shift has drawn criticism from Milan Krajniak, chairman of the Conservatives – Christian Union and former colleague of Kollár. Krajniak stated that the alliance with liberals confirms his decision to leave Sme rodina and called for the urgent unification of authentic conservative forces to form a strong pro-family political bloc.
