Oktoberfest celebrations held in Donauwörth and Essen

Various Oktoberfest celebrations are taking place across Germany. In Donauwörth, the 16th Kiwanis Oktoberfest begins on October 9, 2026. Organized by the Kiwanis Club Donauwörth, this charity event features a new 24-meter Ferris wheel, an autoscooter, and a variety of traditional Bavarian food and live music. All proceeds from the event are directed toward social projects.

In Essen, the Rü Oktoberfest is held at the Essen/Mülheim airport. Running from September 11 through October 10, 2026, the event hosts up to 4,000 guests on a 2,400-square-meter site. The festival offers a traditional atmosphere with Bavarian specialties like Hendl and Weißwurst, featuring specific weekend dates and varying opening hours throughout the season.
