Oktoberfest celebrations scheduled across the Peninsula

Various Oktoberfest celebrations are scheduled throughout the Peninsula from September to October. Notable events include the fifth annual Los Gatos Oktoberfest on September 12, which serves as a fundraiser for KCAT Public Media. This free-to-attend event features German food such as bratwurst, chicken schnitzel, and soft pretzels, alongside German beer and specialty wines.

Entertainment for the Los Gatos event includes the band Blow Musik, a marionette show by The Vaudeville Follies, stein-holding contests, and a Kinderplatz Carnival. While Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City will not host an event this year due to venue unavailability, the German beer garden is planning a Fest Bier tap takeover on September 19.

Other regional festivities include the family-friendly Mountain View Oktoberfest, which features traditional costumes and activities.
