Oktoberfest festivals held in Fukuoka and Takasaki

Two regional Oktoberfest celebrations are taking place in Japan, offering authentic German beer and cuisine.

In Fukuoka, the Fukuoka Oktoberfest 2026 is being held at Reisen Park in Hakata Ward from October 16 to October 25. The event is officially recognized by the Bavarian Beer Association and features 52 types of draft German beer from 14 brands, including festival-exclusive editions. Attendees can enjoy traditional foods such as bratwurst and Weisswurst, accompanied by live performances from the Alpenschläviner band from Germany.

In Gunma, Oktoberfest Takasaki 2026 is scheduled at G Messe Gunma from October 23 to November 3. This event features established brands like Paulaner and Schneider Weisse, alongside over 30 varieties of German wine and fruit beers. Food offerings include specialty sausages and garlic mussels. The festival includes folk music performances by the Alps Music Band and family-friendly activities such as traditional carnival games.
