OKX CEO outlines AI security measures following Binance hack
OKX founder and CEO Star Xu has announced enhanced security protocols and AI-driven testing in response to a recent multibillion-dollar hack at Binance. Xu stated that OKX has been utilizing automated penetration testing with large language models for over a year to improve the depth and efficiency of its defenses.
Following the security incident at Binance, OKX has implemented four specific response measures: real-time tracking of stolen fund flows, strengthening market risk management, analyzing attack methods and potential vulnerabilities, and re-examining its own security systems. Xu emphasized that security incidents at one major exchange serve as a warning for the entire industry, calling for collective vigilance.
Other industry leaders have also weighed in, with Gate CEO Lin Han proposing a security alliance to establish unified standards and emergency response systems. Additionally, TRM Labs has suggested that the Binance hack may be linked to North Korean actors, highlighting the need for information sharing and cooperation between exchanges to freeze stolen assets.
