OKX launches pre-IPO markets and tokenized stocks in Europe

OKX has launched pre-IPO markets and tokenized stocks for eligible traders in Europe. The new offerings include Pre-IPO X-Perps, which allow users to take long or short positions on the implied valuations of private companies, specifically starting with OpenAI and Anthropic. These derivative contracts provide exposure to company valuations with up to 10x leverage but do not confer direct ownership, economic claims, or voting rights in the referenced firms.

Additionally, the exchange introduced tokenized stocks to enable 24/7 trading of popular equities. The initial launch includes 100 markets, such as SpaceX, Google, NVIDIA, Palantir, and various ETFs like SPY and QQQ. These tokenized assets track underlying share prices and can be used as collateral for X-Perps or within automated trading bots.

According to Erald Ghoos, CEO of OKX Europe, these products aim to provide European traders with access to markets that have previously been unavailable on traditional regulated platforms within the region.
