OLACDE Energy Week convenes 27 countries in Santo Domingo
The XI Energy Week of the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) is being held in Santo Domingo from October 6 to 9. The event brings together ministers and representatives from 27 countries, featuring over 3,000 participants and 200 international panelists.
Organized by OLACDE and the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), the summit focuses on four strategic pillars: electrical supply security, rural and urban electrification, regional energy integration, and financing mechanisms to accelerate the energy transition.
Joel Santos, the Minister of Energy and Mines, stated that the gathering serves as a convergence point for long-term planning, regulatory harmonization, and the creation of agreements to drive regional energy integration.
