Olavarría extends deadline for industrial heritage photography contest

The deadline for the first “Paisaje obrero, patrimonio industrial” photography contest and exhibition has been extended to Tuesday, October 20. Organized by the Instituto de Investigaciones Antropológicas de Olavarría (IIAO) and the Municipality of Olavarría, the initiative aims to capture images reflecting the working landscape and industrial heritage of the Olavarría district.

The contest is free and open to both professional and amateur photographers, regardless of nationality, provided they are over 18 and reside in Olavarría or elsewhere in the country. Participants must register through the Mi Olava platform.

A jury consisting of a photography specialist from the Subsecretaría de Cultura, an industrial heritage researcher from the Faculty of Social Sciences, and an industrial sector representative will select the winners. Prizes include products from the Sello Olavarriense for three winning photographs, along with three special mentions. Selected works will be printed by the organizers and featured in a traveling exhibition throughout municipal spaces in 2027.
