Olavarría Municipality rejects Molino Olavarría tax dispute

The Municipality of Olavarría has rejected a defense submitted by Molino Olavarría S. A. regarding discrepancies in tax payments. Following a municipal inspection, authorities identified differences between the income declared for the Hygiene and Security Inspection Tax (TISH) and the figures reported to the Buenos Aires Province Revenue Agency (ARBA).

Under Decree No. 2587, signed by Mayor Maximiliano Wesner, the company has been ordered to rectify its sworn statements for the period between February 2024 and September 2025. The municipality maintains that the company must use 100% of the income it deems attributable to Olavarría as the tax base.

Molino Olavarría had previously contested the pre-liquidation, questioning the constitutionality of the TISH and the proportionality of the tax relative to municipal services. The company also argued that it was unreasonable to apply the tax to income that it claimed did not pertain to the Olavarría district or the Province of Buenos Aires.
