Olavarría Municipality supports local youth basketball development

The Municipality of Olavarría is working with local clubs and the Olavarría Basketball Association to promote youth basketball development. Mayor Maximiliano Wesner met with officials from several clubs, including Pueblo Nuevo, Mariano Moreno, Racing, Ferro, and San Martín de Sierras Bayas, to discuss ongoing support for formative categories.

Municipal assistance is designed to cover essential costs such as travel, sports equipment, and uniforms. This support aims to increase opportunities for children and young people to practice the sport and strengthen local sports institutions.

Through coordinated efforts with the Olavarría Basketball Association, local youth selections have been able to participate in regional competitions. Recent examples include sports meetings in Tandil and Bahía Blanca, providing young athletes with competitive experience and exposure to other teams.
