Mayor Roberto Cabrera leads road upgrades in San Juan del Río
In San Juan del Río, Mexico, Mayor Roberto Cabrera Valencia supervised the repaving of Avenida La Esmeralda, the first major maintenance in about 15 years, and announced a suite of new public facilities—including schools, a health clinic, water‑well projects and an expanded bridge over the Arroyo Xosdá—to meet rapid population growth.
Across Argentina, municipalities are undertaking similar infrastructure work. San Rafael began temporary repairs on the Los Dos Álamos crossing of the Río Diamante to restore traffic after flood damage. The province of San Luis issued a tender for a pedestrian bridge alongside the Curtiembre River bridge to improve safety. In Olavarría, provincial Route 51 is being resurfaced and the level‑crossing at San Jacinto reinforced, with work expected to continue for several weeks. Additional upgrades are under way on provincial routes 4, 33 and 51, involving resurfacing, lane widening and new drainage and lighting installations.
