Olavarría opens pre-registration for Municipal Rural Residence

The Municipality of Olavarría has opened the pre-registration period for its Municipal Rural Residence, a program designed to support young people from rural areas pursuing higher education in the city. The application process is open until October 30 via the ‘Mi Olavarría’ municipal portal.

To qualify, applicants must be between 17 and 25 years old, reside in a rural area of the Olavarría District, have completed secondary education, and be enrolled in a professional training course or higher education degree. The residence, located in the city center, provides housing and educational follow-up to ensure equal opportunities for students who would otherwise face the difficulty of relocating to the city.

Local authorities recently held an information session with educational representatives and rural community leaders from areas such as Recalde, Espigas, and Santa Luisa. As part of the outreach strategy, municipal officials plan to visit rural schools to provide direct information about the application process and share experiences from the program’s first year of operation.
