Olavarría suspends winter vacation activities amid storm alert

The Municipality of Olavarría halted all scheduled recreational and cultural programs for Friday as a yellow storm alert was issued by the National Meteorological Service. The suspension aims to limit unnecessary travel and reduce traffic while severe weather, including strong winds, hail, heavy rain (30‑50 mm expected), and intense electrical activity, is forecast for central Buenos Aires Province. Residents were urged to keep waste properly contained to prevent drainage blockages and to stay informed through official channels throughout the alert period.
