Olbia inaugurates new waterfront and park in Poltu Cuadu

The Poltu Cuadu district in Olbia has inaugurated new infrastructure as part of a broader redevelopment program for the southern gulf area. The project includes a new road, a waterfront promenade, and a bicycle path approximately one kilometer long, which will eventually connect to the Michelucci theater.

Additionally, the San Ponziano park has been opened, featuring approximately two hectares of green space and a multi-purpose sports field. Mayor Settimo Nizzi noted that the site previously functioned as an illegal landfill. The administration is also working on upgrading public housing buildings and improving pedestrian and cycling connections throughout the neighborhood.
