Olcay Gulsen reports feeling unsafe after violent robbery in Amsterdam
Dutch entrepreneur and presenter Olcay Gulsen has spoken out following a violent robbery in Amsterdam, stating that she feels ‘super unsafe’ after the incident. The 46-year-old was attacked near her office on Sarphatikade while standing by her car.
According to Gulsen, a masked man approached her, leading to a physical struggle during which her watch was forcibly taken. A second masked individual was reportedly waiting nearby on a scooter to assist the escape. Gulsen sustained several injuries during the confrontation.
Addressing media reports, Gulsen clarified that the stolen watch was not worth the rumored 80,000 euros, emphasizing instead its significant emotional value as something she purchased through her own hard work. She expressed frustration that details of her police report were leaked online, noting that the subsequent media attention has intensified her sense of insecurity.
Police are currently searching for the suspects. The primary assailant is described as being between 1.85 and 1.90 meters tall with a thin build, wearing a white or grey hoodie and a face covering.
