Old Farmer's Almanac predicts varied Fall 2026 weather

The Old Farmer's Almanac has released its Fall 2026 forecast, predicting varied weather patterns across the United States. The nation's interior is expected to experience warmer-than-average temperatures throughout September and October.

In contrast, the East and Pacific Coast are projected to trend cooler than average. Specifically, the Northeast—including parts of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut—is forecasted to see below-average temperatures and higher-than-normal precipitation.

The Atlantic corridor, stretching from Virginia to Massachusetts, is expected to be cooler and drier than average. Regarding moisture levels, much of the country is predicted to be drier than normal, though wetter conditions are anticipated in the West, parts of the Rockies, Texas, the Northeast, and southern Florida.
