Old Mutual expands entrepreneurship support in Botswana and launches adviser recruitment in South Africa

Old Mutual Botswana announced its inaugural sponsorship of the Angel Network Botswana Gala Dinner, aiming to strengthen the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Interim Group CEO Ricardo Sardien said the partnership will extend the “OnTheMoney” financial‑education programme to founders and highlighted that “capital may start a business, but it does not guarantee survival or growth.” The initiative seeks to connect startups with angel investors, mentors and other resources to improve business resilience.

In South Africa, Old Mutual opened applications for its Aspiring Financial Adviser programme, inviting self‑motivated candidates to join the insurer’s advisory team. The role focuses on providing customers with tailored financial advice and solutions, with a closing date of 18 August 2026.
