Old Works Golf Course named most underrated in America

The Old Works Golf Course in Anaconda, Montana, has been named the most underrated golf course in America according to a study by Betway. The course achieved a score of 90.1/100 based on metrics including Google and Golf Digest ratings, price, rainfall, and peak wind speeds.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the 18-hole course is notable for its unique history and landscape. It was built on a former Superfund site that once housed copper-smelting facilities from 1884 to 1902. The layout incorporates historic industrial relics and utilizes black crushed slag, a smelting byproduct, in the bunkers instead of traditional white sand. The course features Warm Springs Creek, which winds through the holes, adding to its distinctive character.
