Oldebroek municipality receives package containing dead animal

A package containing a dead animal and a letter was delivered to the Oldebroek town hall on Tuesday afternoon. The accompanying letter addressed to the mayor and aldermen contained demands regarding municipal policy on wolves.

Mayor Tanja Haseloop-Amsing condemned the act as intimidation, noting that while the desperation regarding the wolf population is understandable, such actions are unacceptable and impact municipal staff. The police were called to the scene to investigate the suspicious package.

In response to the incident, the municipality plans to install security cameras at the town hall. This event follows a previous protest on October 18, where six dead sheep were left along a road in the area as a demonstration against the wolf presence.
